Kelly A. Lenahan is a native Floridian and attended the University of Florida, where she was an Anderson Scholar Highest Distinction, and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in History and Political Science. She subsequently earned a J.D. Degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

After law school Kelly served as a clerk for Judge W. Matthew Stevenson at the Fourth District Court of Appeal. Continuing her career at an insurance defense law firm, she concentrated on first-party property work as well as automobile negligence and premises liability claims. She has also successfully argued at both the state and federal appellate levels.
